Peptide merchant accounts

A peptide merchant account is the card account a peptide business uses to accept cards. PeptideApprove provides the merchant services for that account and is partnered with the acquiring bank that sponsors it. An RUO peptide merchant account is the same service for research-use-only sellers. LegitScript is not required for compliant RUO retailers. Requirements and approval are subject to underwriting. Who a merchant account is for

It is for a business that needs to accept customer cards under a program that knows the peptide category. The legal entity on the website, the bank statement, and the application should be the same business.

Documents usually required

More detail is on documents for a peptide merchant account. The live form is the list that controls a given application.

  • Legal entity name.
  • EIN.
  • Principal representative name and date of birth.
  • A recent business bank statement showing the LLC name and operating address. Figures may be redacted.
  • A merchant-services statement when the application asks for processing history.

After you apply

The file is checked for eligibility, then underwritten. Eligible merchants with complete information can hear back in about 48 hours. Some applications are delayed for missing pages. Some are declined. Approval is not automatic for startups or for merchants leaving another processor.

What this page does not decide

It does not assign an MCC, promise a reserve level, or say that a MATCH listing will be approved. Those are partner decisions. MATCH and pricing are covered separately.

Questions

Merchant accounts

What is a peptide merchant account?

A peptide merchant account is the card account a peptide business uses to accept cards. PeptideApprove provides the merchant services for that account and is partnered with the acquiring bank that sponsors it.

The account, if approved, is governed by the merchant agreement, card-network rules, and the acquiring bank's requirements.

What is an RUO peptide merchant account?

It is a merchant account reviewed for a business selling research-use-only peptides, rather than a general retail account or a healthcare account that may need separate credentials.

Compliant RUO retailers are not asked for LegitScript. Clinical, pharmacy, telehealth, and patient-care models may be. Eligibility is still subject to underwriting.

What types of businesses may qualify?

Eligible RUO peptide ecommerce merchants and other high-risk profiles the program can underwrite may qualify. Qualification is not guaranteed.

Review looks at the legal entity, ownership, website claims, product mix, processing history, and the documents submitted with the application. Merchants that cannot be safely onboarded are declined.

Can a startup peptide company apply?

A startup can submit the application. Approval is not promised for new businesses, and there is no published minimum-volume rule on this site.

New companies should expect questions about the entity, the website, and how products are described. Missing documents delay review.

Application process

What information is usually required to apply?

The core package described on this site is the legal entity name, EIN, principal representative name, principal date of birth, and one recent business bank statement showing the LLC name and operating address.

The application can also collect a merchant services statement, and the privacy policy describes identification, formation documents, ownership, processor statements, a catalog, a website review, and a DocuSeal W-9 when those items are requested. Sensitive figures on statements may be redacted. Do not upload card numbers or bank login credentials.

What happens after an application is submitted?

PeptideApprove reviews the merchant profile, then routes a complete file for sponsor-bank underwriting. The merchant is told what path fits, or if the file cannot be onboarded.

Eligible merchants with complete information can receive an underwriting response in about 48 hours. Card acceptance, if approved, is described as beginning within 72 hours after all documents are in. Both timings depend on review and are not a guarantee.

Underwriting

Why would a peptide merchant be declined or delayed?

Common reasons are incomplete documents, website claims that do not match a research-use-only posture, unresolved compliance questions, or a risk profile the program cannot sponsor.

A delay is often missing information rather than a decision. Approval depends on KYC/KYB, product category, chargeback history, and program rules.
